Last week we had a chance to speak with Christina Xu, of Awesome Foundation. The Awesome Foundation is made up of groups of trustees who award $1,000 grants to individuals with ideas. In her words, they fund ideas that would never make it to larger funding otherwise, and they strive to make philanthropy and innovation more accessible. It was very inspiring to hear how quickly this organization grew and saw success, especially for a couple of entrepreneurs who are in the process of seeking the right funding for our first product.
